About the Role
Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings, a rapidly growing QSR brand with more than 1,000 locations nationwide, is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to lead our digital growth strategy. This role is responsible for overseeing all digital initiatives across paid, earned, and owned channels, with a strong focus on driving sales, customer acquisition, and e-commerce performance.

The Director will manage Charleys’ e-commerce platforms (desktop and mobile app), oversee delivery partnerships, and lead vendor negotiations to maximize efficiency and ROI. This is a leadership position with direct accountability for digital performance and team development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Digital Strategy & Growth

  • Lead digital marketing across all channels to increase sales and customer acquisition.

  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns that build awareness, engagement, and conversion.

  • Implement scalable, profitable strategies for new customer growth.

E-Commerce & Platforms

  • Manage and optimize Charleys’ desktop and mobile app platforms to improve user experience and sales conversion.

  • Partner with IT and Operations to deliver platform enhancements and ensure performance.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Oversee relationships with third-party delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub).

  • Negotiate contracts with delivery partners and digital vendors for optimal value and performance.

  • Manage the digital vendor ecosystem, including media partners, CRM, loyalty, and reputation management providers.

Performance & KPI Management

  • Define and track KPIs to measure digital marketing and e-commerce effectiveness.

  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and improved ROI.

  • Collaborate with Creative, Operations, Finance, and IT to align digital initiatives with business objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a digital marketing team to achieve high performance.

  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the department.

  • Build team capabilities to ensure Charleys remains competitive in digital marketing.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of progressive digital marketing experience within a retailer, omni-channel merchant, or QSR brand.

  • Demonstrated success in driving digital sales and e-commerce growth across paid, earned, and owned channels.

  • Experience with loyalty platforms, CRM, and reputation management programs.

  • Strong knowledge of media planning and buying, including search, social, streaming, and display.

  • Proven experience managing third-party delivery platforms and negotiating vendor contracts.

  • Track record of setting, tracking, and achieving KPIs.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.

  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to build scalable digital growth engines.
