Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings, a fast-growing QSR brand with 1,000+ locations nationwide, is seeking a Director of Creative Services to build and lead our in-house production function. This leader will ensure that all creative assets—ranging from digital to in-store to broadcast—are delivered on time, on brand, and at the highest level of quality.
Position Summary
The Director will oversee production designers and collaborate across Marketing, Operations, and external partners to manage workflow, enforce schedules, traffic creative assets, and ensure rigorous QA. We’re looking for someone who not only manages the day-to-day but also thinks strategically about how to elevate creative effectiveness, streamline processes, and build a best-in-class creative services team that can scale with the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Production Leadership
- Build, mentor, and manage a small team of production designers skilled in design, animation, video, and retouching.
- Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and fun, while ensuring timelines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Establish and maintain best practices in production, file management, and workflows.
Creative Operations & Workflow
- Develop and enforce production schedules and timelines for all creative projects (digital, in-store, social, OOH, broadcast, etc.).
- Manage workflow between creative, marketing, operations, and external partners.
- Oversee trafficking of final assets to ensure accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
Quality Assurance
- Lead the QA process, reviewing all creative work for accuracy, brand alignment, and technical standards.
- Implement efficient review/approval systems that reduce errors and speed delivery.
Strategic Contribution
- Partner with Marketing and Operations leaders to align creative output with deadlines, budgets, and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve creative effectiveness and integration across channels.
- Recommend tools, processes, and strategies to strengthen department performance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in creative production, project management, or traffic management within marketing, advertising, or a related field (agency or QSR/retail brand experience preferred).
- Deep knowledge of production processes across design, print, digital, and video.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence cross-functional partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance immediate execution with long-term vision.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
