Talent and Program Development Specialist

About Charleys Kids
Charleys Kids is a non-profit organization that aims to make an educational difference in
the lives of under-resourced children. We primarily seek to strengthen our communities
with education through our main program Children’s Tutoring Initiative.

About Children’s Tutoring Initiative
The Children’s Tutoring Initiative (CTI) is an in-school literacy tutoring program designed to
support elementary students who are reading below grade level. We partner with schools
and community organizations to connect trained volunteer tutors with students, ensuring
every child gains the reading skills needed for long-term success.

Position Overview
The Talent and Program Development Specialist advances the growth of the tutor network
and the expansion of CTI by combining people-focused recruitment with strategic program
development. This role recruits, onboards, and engages volunteer tutors; fosters
partnerships with local leaders and organizations; and collaborates with the CTI team to
design initiatives that increase student reach and improve literacy outcomes. Through
relationship-building and innovative program strategies, the Specialist strengthens
community connections and helps ensure all children have the resources needed to
succeed.
